Just a quick note while the kids are getting ready. We left the house at 8:52AM. I told you we are not morning people. The kids were really good on the trip. They didn't fight once! Of course one of them was sleeping most of the time. It must be nice to close your eyes and wake up 200 miles away from when you open them.
We finally arrived last night at 9:12 PM. 504 mile in 12 hours. Not bad all things considered. We were doing pretty well until we hit LA. That last line has probably been written alot. There was an accident on LA side of the Grapevine that delayed us 45 minutes. That got us to LA right at rush hour! Perfect timing. We took Mylene's advice and when on the 210. It was packed but moving at least. We got in the carpool lane thinking we were going to make good time. Unfortunately, the car pool lane was slower than the others!
